There isn't one, by design. Private Browser has no history feature at all. Every tab runs in a private session held in memory, so there is nothing recording where you have been. If you want to return to a site later, add it as a shortcut on the home screen.

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. The app makes your device forget your browsing: no history, session data erased, trackers blocked. But it is not a VPN. Websites you visit can still see your IP address, your network operator can still see which domains you connect to, and sites you sign in to know who you are.

Private Browser protects what your phone remembers. It cannot change what the other end of the connection observes.

The trash button closes every tab and destroys the browsing session: cookies, cache, site data, any saved tab snapshot, and temporary preview files. There is also a home-screen quick action, and Stealth Suite adds an Auto-Erase timer for when you forget.

Erase does not delete your downloads vault, your settings, or your shortcuts. Erased data cannot be recovered, so make sure you are done with those tabs.

No. Nobody can, and that is deliberate. Your passcode is never stored anywhere, not even as a hash. It is used to derive the encryption key that seals your saved tabs, so there is no reset, no recovery email, and no back door for us, or anyone, to use.

If Face ID is enabled you can still unlock with it. Otherwise, deleting and reinstalling the app lets you start fresh, but data sealed under the forgotten passcode, and everything else in the app, is permanently gone.

A decoy passcode (a Stealth Suite feature) is a second code that opens a clean, empty browser instead of your real one. No downloads, no shortcuts, no settings trail, and no visible sign that Stealth Suite even exists. If someone insists you unlock the app, enter the decoy and show them nothing.

You can set up to three decoy codes. Nothing from a decoy session is ever saved.

The panic code (a Stealth Suite feature) is a code you enter at the lock screen when you need everything gone now. It silently erases your tabs, your entire downloads vault, and the break-in log, then opens what looks like a perfectly normal fresh browser.

The wipe is immediate and permanent. There is no confirmation step and no undo; that is the point of a panic code. Choose a code you will not enter by accident.

With break-in alerts on, every wrong passcode or failed Face ID attempt at the lock screen is logged with a timestamp. If you also enable Intruder Photo, the front camera quietly takes one picture after the number of wrong codes you choose (two, three, or four).

Photos are encrypted on the spot and stored only on your device; they are never uploaded anywhere and we never see them. The feature asks for camera permission openly in settings when you enable it, never at the lock screen. You can view, delete, or export entries after unlocking with your real code.

One request: the people photographed are whoever handled your phone, so use the feature responsibly and in line with your local laws.

Self-destruct (a Stealth Suite feature) destroys your saved tabs after a chosen number of consecutive wrong passcodes (5, 10, or 15), and can optionally wipe the downloads vault too. An intruder who keeps guessing ends up with an empty browser, and you get a notice about what happened on your next real unlock.

It never wipes the app itself or anything else on your phone, and wrong entries in settings screens don't count; only the lock screen does.

Yes, and no, in that order. Downloads stream directly into AES-256 encrypted storage; a plain copy is never written to disk, and the key lives in your device's Keychain, marked so it never leaves the device.

Vault files are deliberately excluded from iCloud and computer backups. That means no copy exists anywhere else: if you delete the app, trigger the panic code, or enable self-destruct's vault option and it fires, those files are gone permanently. Keep separate copies of anything irreplaceable.

Occasionally a site depends on scripts that tracking protection blocks. Open the shield panel for that page and add the site as an exception, then reload; its trackers will no longer be blocked, but the site should work. You can remove exceptions in Settings any time.

Also check whether "Block JavaScript" or "Block Web Fonts" is enabled in Settings; both are off by default but will change how sites render if switched on.

Free, for everyone, forever: private browsing with no history, ad and tracker blocking, cookie controls, one-tap erase, App Lock with passcode and Face ID, restore tabs, HTTPS-Only Mode, all search engines, shortcuts, desktop site, and find-in-page.

Stealth Suite adds: decoy passcodes, the panic code, break-in alerts with intruder photos, self-destruct, the encrypted downloads vault, app icon colors, and the Auto-Erase timer. It is one unlock available as a monthly or yearly subscription (the yearly plan includes a free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Your security stays armed. Protections you already enabled, like decoy codes, the panic code, break-in alerts, self-destruct, and Auto-Erase, keep working and stay manageable, and files already in your vault remain accessible. A lapsed payment never silently disarms you or locks you out of your own data.

Starting new downloads and enabling new premium protections require an active unlock again.

Purchases should restore automatically when you open the app on the same Apple Account. If Stealth Suite does not appear:

1. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
2. Open the paywall from Settings and tap Restore Purchases.
3. Check your connection and try again.

If the issue persists, contact us with your purchase details.

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple Account, not through our app. To cancel:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
3. Find Private Browser and tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also manage subscriptions at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Your benefits continue until the end of the current billing period, and the fair-lapse policy above applies after that.

Refunds are processed by Apple, not by us directly. To request one:

1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
2. Sign in with your Apple Account.
3. Find the purchase and select "Request a refund."

Exactly four kinds: the websites you visit, searches (and suggestion keystrokes only if you opted in) sent to your chosen engine, downloads you start, and Apple's StoreKit for purchases. That is the complete list.

There is no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no update checks, and no block-list downloads; the lists ship inside the app. The privacy policy spells out each connection.

Suggestions are off by default. Turning them on means what you type in the address bar is sent, as you type, to your chosen search engine (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or Wikipedia), which handles it under its own privacy policy. The app asks you plainly before enabling this, and you can turn it off again in Settings.

Site-name autocomplete is separate and fully local: it matches against a bundled list of popular domains and never sends keystrokes anywhere.

Accessibility matters to us. The app supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion, and this website is built to WCAG AA contrast with full keyboard navigation. If something is not working for you, please let us know and we will fix it.

Private Browser is an iPhone app that requires iOS 26 or later. It is designed and tuned for iPhone.
